Training Course on Nuclear Plant Safety
Between 30 September and 25 October 2019, a Training Course on Nuclear Plant Safety was held in Tsuruga, Japan. Japan Atomic Energy Agency was the initiator of the training.
Within the framework of the course, a wide range of topics on nuclear energy was presented related to safety control and structural peculiarities for ensuring safety of nuclear plants, regulatory documents, reactor physics, decommissioning and etc. In addition, course participants knew about previous experience, current situation and future plans of nuclear energy in Japan. Moreover, excursions were arranged for course participants to nuclear power plants located in Fukui prefecture.
Representatives of Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam were participants of the course. Aleksey Dmitriyevich Grechanik, Junior Researcher, Laboratory for Structural and Fuel Material Testing, took part in the training course from the Institute of Atomic Energy Branch RSE NNC RK.
