REACTOR TECHNOLOGY TRAINING COURSES

In the period from 24 to 25 October 2019, in the Institute of Atomic Energy Branch RSE NNC RK the Follow-up Training Course “Reactor Engineering” was held within the framework of an Agreement between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Japanese Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) for training personnel in peace uses of atomic energy.   

Reactor Engineering Course on the basis of IAE RSE NNC RK is carried out for the fifth time (starting with 2015). This year, 12 participants took part in the training. Among them, 11 specialists are from the IAE Branch.   

This year the same as last year, representatives of regional universities were invited as listeners, with whom there are agreements on cooperation in the field of personnel training. Hence, besides the employees of the IAE Branch, A.B. Kasymov, Teacher of the Shakarim SU, took part in this training course.

To arrange the course, specialists of the IAE Branch have been engaged as coordinators, instructors and lecturers of the course. The most of specialists among coordinators and lecturers have been trained in JAEA under the  Instructor Training Program.

Alongside with lectires, practical training were carried out on the basis of material testing complex of the IAE Branch and computer room of the RSE NNC RK. In the framework of technical tours and excursions, course participants visited CRR “Baikal-1”, material testing complex, KTM Tokamak, “Opytnoe Pole” site and STS Museum.

Every participant showed a sufficient level of knowledge and qualification, which was approved by outcomes of incoming and final testing and they participated in the training course very active as well. Following the results of the course, all course participants were awarded certificates of the course completion.
