Online training course for specialists in the field of atomic industry

In the period between January 29 and March 12, 2021 Japan Atomic Power Company (JAPC) conducted online course on Zoom platform on staff training in the filed of atomic industry in Kazakhstan. This course is a part of the Program of the Government of Japan in assisting of the basis formation for creation of atomic power in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the Course was to overview the challenges and difficulties encountered in the design and construction of nuclear power plants.

Seventeen young specialists of the Institute of Atomic Energy took part in the training course. The course program included 12 lectures covered such topics as:

• The need for nuclear power;
• Nuclear safety;
• NPP design;
• Payback;
• Economic, social and medical risks;
• Management of the NPP construction design at the implementation stage.

The experience of Japan in this issue and knowledge gained during the courses, allowed a deeper understanding of all aspects and problems of the NPP construction in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In conclusion all listeners were given certificates confirmed that they have successfully completed the course.
