National Nuclear Center at the ATOMEXPO-2022 Forum
The XII International Forum ATOMEXPO-2022 was held in Sochi. Representatives of the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the Forum events. During the roundtable “MBIR, a Unique Platform for International Partnership” Yerbolat Koyanbayev, the Deputy Director of the Institute of Atomic Energy shared the issues of international activities of the National Nuclear Center in the field of atomic energy. As part of the presentation, the main IAE’s international projects, launching from 1994, were represented. Moreover, within the Forum frames with the support of Rosatom State Corporation and the BRICS International Energy Agency, a series of meetings were held aimed at developing the international youth community to promote clean energy and technologies. Among the participants, Nurzhan Mukhamedov, the Head of Laboratory and Gainiya Zhanbolatova, Junior Research Fellow had work in thematic groups towards “Technologies of New Opportunities: how innovations change people’s lives”, “Africa – the territory of cooperation and technological development”, “Energy of the Global South: BRICS responses to common challenges” and “Youth business initiatives for building a sustainable future”. The result is that young experts from 15 countries have developed an initiative to encourage young talented people from their countries to address issues of ensuring industrial, food, and energy security.
