The Internship as part of the Bolashak Program

Sagyngali A. Zhunisbek, a Junior Research Fellow, the Thermonuclear Research Department, Tokamaks’ Experimental Physics Laboratory received the Bolashak International Scholarship under the Project “500 Scientists” by decision of the Republican Commission for Training Personnel Abroad. In November 2023, in terms of the scholarship he will start a seven-month internship at the ISTTOK Tokamak in the Institute of Plasma and Thermonuclear Fusion (IPFN) in Lisbon (Portugal). The purpose of the internship is to improve skills, acquire new knowledge and exchange experience in plasma physics and diagnostics in order to apply them in research at the KTM Tokamak and increase the country’s scientific potential.
