Technical Meeting with specialists from Idaho national Laboratory (INL) and Oak-Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL)

From 23 to 26 October 2019, regular technical meeting of specialists from Idaho National Laboratory (INL) and Ok-Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), USA, was held. During the technical meeting, issues for preparation of CRR “Baikal-1” infrastructure for repatriation of irradiated IVG.1M reactor HEU fuel to Russia was discussed as well as dawn-blending technology of IGR irradiated HEU fuel being developed by NNC. Within technical meeting, specialists from INL and ORNL visited CRR IGR. The facility is involved into work on packaging and transportation of IGR fresh highly enriched uranium-graphite fuel to reduce the enrichment at the UMP JSC in the future.
