INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “WELDING IN RUSSIA 2019: CURRENT STATE AND PROSPECTS”

From 3 to 7 September 2019, International Conference “Welding in Russia 2019: Current State and Prospects” was held in Tomsk devoted top 100 Anniversary of B.Ye. Paton – outstanding scientists in metallurgy and technology of metals, founder of the Institute of Electric Welding, which bears his name.   

More than 150 participants took part in the Conference – scientists from different regions of Russia as well as from countries of near and far abroad. The scientific forum involved employees of leading corporations and industrial associations of Russia – Rosatom PJSC, United Shipbuilding Corporation JSC, Transneft PJSC, Transmashholding JSC, State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom”. The Institute of Atomic Energy RSE NNC RK was represented by Ye.Zh. Akbolatov, Engineer of Experimental and Mechanical Department.     

 Within the sections, the following issues were discussed: the development of a new class of materials intended for the production and repair of highly responsible structures; creation of special-purpose equipment operated under extreme loads and naturally low climatic temperatures of the Far North and the Arctic; creation of a new generation of welding equipment and innovative installation and repair technologies.
