I Congress of Young Scientists «Zhas Satbayevshylar»
On November 21-22, 2024, the First Congress of Young Scientists of Kazakhstan «Zhas Satbayevshylar» (Young Satpayevs) was held in Almaty under the auspices of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist, Academician Kanysh Satpayev. More than 1,000 young scientists and researchers of Kazakhstan took part in the Congress including those who successfully work in foreign countries, who presented their innovative developments and discussed topical issues of science development in the country.
Akylbek Kurishbayev, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan stressed the importance of the role of young scientists in shaping the future of Kazakhstan in his welcoming speech. Congratulatory speeches were read out at the Congress from Yerlan Karin, the State Adviser of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Congress became a platform for discussing key issues of the development of the national science. The participants discussed the priorities of the academic research and identified the most promising areas of the scientific activity that meet the country needs.
The employees of the Institute of Atomic Energy Branch of the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhsta (IAE Branch of RSE NNC RK) represented by Arman Zhanarbekovich Miniyazov, Director of the Center for Technological Competencies in the Field of Hydrogen Energy, took part in the section «Commercialization of the Results of Scientific and (or) Scientific and Technical Activities», and also Nuriya Meiramkanovna Mukhamedova, Head of the Laboratory of Advanced Materials, and Ruslan Alexandrovich Irkimbekov, Head of the Laboratory for Research of Thermophysical and Neutronics Characteristics of Iirradiation Devices, took part in this Congress as speakers in the sectional conference on «Energy, Advanced Materials and Transportation».
