Congratulations on the Award of an Academic Title!

We extend our congratulations to Viktor Baklanov, Director of the “Institute of Atomic Energy” branch of the RSE NNC RK, on being awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in the scientific field 10200 – Physical Sciences.

The corresponding order was issued by the Chair of the Committee for Quality Assurance in the Sphere of Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 1834 dated 13.10.2025.

Viktor Vladimirovich has been working at the “Institute of Atomic Energy” branch of the RSE NNC RK since 2000. His scientific interests cover a wide range of relevant fields, including: radiation materials science, nuclear reactor safety, spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste management, development of technological foundations for the synthesis of new materials, and others.

He is the author and co-author of over 130 scientific publications, including 8 patents for inventions and utility models, and more than 15 articles published in internationally ranked journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. His H-index is 9.
