China Nuclear Energy Management School

Between 6 and 17 December, employees of the Institute Atomic Energy Branch RSE NNC RK (Valentin Tskhe –Head of Operation and Test Service of the CRR IGR, Ildar Derbyshev – Head of Service for Experiment Preparation and Implementation at the CRR “Baikal-1”, Berik Medetbekov – Junior Research Fellow, Neutron Physics Laboratory, Kuanyshbek Toleubekov – Engineer, Experimental Thermophysics Laboratory) took courses of Management in Nuclear Power Industry. The course was organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).    

In this year, 52 people from 11 countries took part in the course. The course objective is to show to employees the latest trends in nuclear power and introduce them the basic skills and knowledge that are necessary for successful management and guidance of the nuclear power program.

These courses were supposed to take place in Peking, but because of the global spread of COVID-19 pandemic, they were organized on-line. The course was presented as a series of daily broadcasting prerecorded lectures for individual asynchronous learning followed by a final exam.

The IAE’s employees perfectly mastered the lecture material as confirmed by the results of the final exam. All employees received certificates confirming successful completion of the course.
