How nuclear reactor safety is verified

Artur Surayev, leading researcher at the “Institute of Atomic Energy” Branch of the RSE  NNC RK, discussed modern computer modeling methods used to assess the safety of reactor facilities in an interview with DalaNews.

Specialists at the RSE NNC RK use advanced software packages to model neutron-physical, thermal-hydraulic, and structural processes. The resulting calculations, combined with experimental research, improve the accuracy and reliability of safety assessments for reactor facilities.
