Visit of Representatives of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Idaho and Oak Ridge National Laboratories

From July 21 to 25, representatives of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Idaho and Oak Ridge National Laboratories paid a visit. The purpose of the visit was to inspect the progress of the following activities:

– construction of the HEU graphite fuel down-blending and immobilization facility;

– design of the HEU graphite fuel repackaging facility;

– preparation of the training room for personnel in support of the installation of the L-Positioner (a machine for cutting HEU graphite fuel casks);

– modernization of the gantry crane of the technological system at the “Baikal-1” Research Reactor Complex.
