IAE Branch of NNC RK Hosts Meeting with Shakarim University Students

As part of the directive from the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Atomic Energy aimed at strengthening engagement with students and graduates of specialized universities to build a talent pool for the nuclear industry, a meeting was held at the Institute of Atomic Energy Branch of the RSE “National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan” with students of Shakarim University (Semey).

During the event, a presentation was delivered on educational programs of the People’s Republic of China, including the Chinese Government Scholarship Program in the field of “Atomic Energy” (AES) and the international master’s program in Nuclear Engineering and Management at Tsinghua University (TUNEM).

Participants were informed about the main study conditions, candidate requirements, and prospects for further professional development in the nuclear industry.

Work on cooperation with specialized educational institutions will continue. Plans include holding informational and outreach events, forming a pool of potential candidates, and further developing the selection and placement of students and graduates in the AES and TUNEM programs.
