What is Transportation Monitoring?

Transportation monitoring is the capability to receive information regarding the location of fleet vehicles. Having this information, and in real time no less, is a way to obtain significant savings through capable operational management of all the company’s processes. In the past, obtaining such information either required high expenditures or led to information that was not sufficiently complete, but with more recent developments in computer technologies, the task has become more easily performed. Modern software and hardware allow us to create information systems with a wide range of capabilities that produce real savings.


Our Transportation Control Center uses the AutoTracker monitoring system, which provides remote monitoring of the operation of vehicles, specialized equipment, and other mobile targets. Using satellite monitoring and cellular communications technologies, AutoTracker allows real-time identification of precise vehicle location and monitoring of various parameters associated with the vehicle: distance traveled, speed, fuel consumption, deviations from the designated route, and so on.

In the short term, our clients will achieve the following results:

  • precise data on distance travelled and comparison with data entered by drivers into travel logs;
  • detection of “side trips”;
  • detection of illicit siphoning of fuel;
  • reduced costs for telephone communications to determine vehicle location
