BREST-ОD-300

As a part of the Contract implementation between Joint Stock Company “Order of Lenin Scientific Research and Design Institute of Power Engineering named after N.A. Dollezhal ”(NIKIET JSC) and the Republican State Enterprise “National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (RSE NNC RK), between August 31 and September 03, 2021, the second batch of experimental SNUP-fuel was delivered from the Russian Federation, consisting of two irradiation devices with mock-ups of fuel rods of the BREST-OD-300 reactor.

During the work, unloading, transporting, accept and delivery and identification of the irradiation devices were performed in stages. The necessary measures were taken to account for and control the nuclear materials included in their composition. The accepted irradiation devices of the BREST-OD-300 reactor are placed for temporary storage in the storage facility of the IGR reactor complex.

Entire activity has been conducted in compliance with legal safety requirements.
